Fashion with a conscience? It exists, here! Every year tons of clothing piles up in our landfills, unable to disintegrate, polluting our environment. And some of this clothing is perfectly fine. Upcycling these garments is the mission with this vendor.
Their mission is to salvage vintage clothing, mostly designer pieces, that are damaged or partly destroyed and bring them back to life with fresh, fun and young twists, giving them a new life as contemporary fashion or street wear. Preppy Trendy currently re-purposes 2,500 pieces of vintage clothing a year, but their aim is 20,000. They also carry an array of handmade, fair-trade sandals, handmade lucite, and straw and wooden clutches.
